A small bunch of friends (almost bachelors), a long weekend followed by 31 Dec... what on earth can expect? Heavens:-D. That was exactly what happened resulting in long drive, sunny beaches and booze in Goa.
Goa is a name next to holiday; food, transport and beaches are awesome. 'Pomfret fry' is a fish fry of unique taste, needless to say I relished 'em like cat :-). We had own car so transport was handy else you have plenty of options to move around. Beaches, there are many, you can hover around and pick the one that suites your needs. Calangute and Colva and many are popular beaches. The only problem is they are overcrowded and crowds are not decent enough to respect someone's privacy. Calm, relatively less crowded and plenty of activities to do is what we expected.Major Da was the beach we visited loved most. We bathed, walked and even partied on new year on same beach.

Goa to Bangalore was about 650 km stretch and I am not really comfortable to drive wagonR, its the foot and the gap between floor and levers. Luckily, Anil, Joshi and Arun could drive and let me entertain them. Length of the drive, the four had fun along coastal bed, we chose Goa-Honnavar-Jog-Shivamogga-Arsikere-Tumkur route. Though it isn't the best, curvey roads were drivers delight that Joshi enjoyed most.
That was a great new year in Goa worth the holiday.
Cheeeerssssss... hiK!
